VAOP is a “hand-up, not a hand-out” one-time payment to assist with outstanding bill(s) due to temporary hardships that works in conjunction with VACP, which is a program that provides coaching, mentoring, and support to help alleviate financial stressors. Together, these programs connect Veterans to assistance services throughout the service area network.
Partners in this effort are the Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter 364 and the Larry S Mattes Memorial Fund.

Copy of DD-214
Proof of Residency (must be within 1 of the 14 serviced counties)
Proof of Hardship
Applicants are expected to come into the office at least one time for intake. If you are unable to fulfill any of these requirements, you must call our office so we can discuss other arrangements.
